Do you do themes? Each year, I try to pick a theme for festive greeting cards. Last year, for Lunar New Year, I used koi. This Lunar New Year I have created crane themed greeting cards for my family. I created these using the Hero Arts Ink Painting Scene stamps and the Symbols of Fortune designer series paper from Stampin’ Up’s 2022 mini catalog.
For this second design, I heat embossed the crane with gold embossing powder.
Scrapbook.com Pops of Color
For the two cards above, I have added Scrapbook.com’s Pops of Color in clear as accents.
By the way, if you don’t want the pops of color to dry like stiff nipples, try flicking the paper under where you apply them will help the product settle without the pointy tip. 😉
For the last crane themed greeting card, I didn’t use the Stampin’ Up Symbols of Fortune DSP. Instead, I used the Ombre paper from Sale-a-bration. The sequins were from a Paper Pumpkin kit.
I am already thinking ahead for next year’s Chinese New Year greeting cards. It is the year of the rabbit, so I will start amassing some bunny stamps and dies now. 🙂
