If you didn’t know by my site name already, I love gnomes! I am picky about the type of gnomes to collect though. I don’t like the ones with an aged face. My favourite is the kind with just the nose and beard. The Marianne Design Creatables Tomte Gnome Dies are exactly what I wanted, and they are budget friendly too.
Who’s Marianne Design?
Marianne Design is a Netherlands based, Dutch owned company that produces stamps, dies and other papercrafting products. The prices of their products are very affordable, way below big brands such as Stampin’ Up, Lawn Fawn, Mama Elephant and Sizzix. They have very interesting products. What I love about Marianne Design is that they have many smaller items, so sometimes if you are missing a little something for your themed project, you can just get a specific part for less than $10. This gnome die set, for example, costs CAD$10.00 at Ecstasy Crafts*, which is cheaper than many knockoffs.
With this 10-pc Marianne Design Gnome dies set, you can create a combination of different gnomes. I had a lot of fun putting these together. The larger gnome size is about 2.4″ x 1.25″. The instructions on the back said you can use these dies on felt, though you might need a couple of passes. I had no trouble running these dies through my Big Shot (by Stampin’ Up, manufactured by Ellison) on standard cardstock paper.
