Hi friends! My name is Judith Baron, artist of The Artistic Gnome and published author of over sixteen magazines and anthologies. My short stories are mostly horror (one dystopian sci-fi)–the atmospheric, supernatural kind. If you like classic haunting and ghost stories, please check out my Amazon Author page, or my own author website here.
New: I also have a Society6 shop where I sell a few of my designs!
Why I Created This Blog
I didn’t create this blog to garner followers, or feel pressured to look popular. I am doing it for the love of art. For the sake of my mental health, I am not on any social media platforms(except Pinterest), even though I probably would get more views if I promote myself there. In fact, most of the views this blog gets are from search engines. If you found this blog from a search, and took the time to read about me here, thank you!! 🙂
Also, I am no expert! One of the reasons why I started this blog as a watercolour beginner (a couple of years ago) was because everyone told me to start one now, don’t wait till you are an expert, because it takes time to build a following. So here I am. 😉
By the way, I love looking at other artists’ blogs and youtube channels for inspiration too! Here are some of my favourites:
- Thomas W Schaller
- Nichol Spohr (papercrafting)
- Louise De Masi
- The Frugal Crafter
- Let’s Make Art
- Sarah Cray
